Skyhawk FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruce Craft was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute Sammy Robertson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Dent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match, Sebastian Browning tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Doug Pineda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Bruce Craft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Dent took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Robertson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leif Clifford made a kick off. Clark Sims's late challenge caught a Prospect FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clark Sims helped the player get up and apologised. Del Sneed walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. With a little luck, Skyhawk FC's Aurelio Dent got control of the ball when DeAndre Middleton tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Sammy Robertson kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aurelio Dent. That made the score 1-2 in the 72 minute of play. But to his dismay, Bruce Craft quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
