Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sammy Robertson kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Monster Kings's Reuben Burks got a free kick in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the game, one of Monster Kings:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 12 minutes into the match, Monster Kings's Paul Scales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doug Pineda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilbur Countess struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Doug Pineda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monster Kings. Monster Kings's Wilbur Countess got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilbur Countess struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Doug Pineda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monster Kings. Prospect FC's Doug Pineda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilbur Countess in the 24th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavin Hyatt during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gavin Hyatt hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Wilbur Countess received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Doug Pineda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Prospect FC's zone, Wilbur Countess stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doug Pineda came out of the goal and Wilbur Countess tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doug Pineda made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Paul Scales sent off a good shot on target. Zachary Field stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sammy Robertson's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. If DeAndre Middleton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zachary Field made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavin Hyatt in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilbur Countess to strike the kick off in the second half. If Paul Scales had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Scales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doug Pineda having to interfere. The Monster Kings fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Monster Kings's Paul Scales looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wilbur Countess hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Sammy Robertson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Zachary Field tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilbur Countess sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sammy Robertson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Prospect FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sammy Robertson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zachary Field breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilbur Countess recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 played minutes Prospect FC got a freekick which was hit by Gavin Hyatt. In the 94th minute, DeAndre Middleton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Prospect FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Monster Kings.
