The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanh Metzger helped the player get up and apologised. A hard shot 4 in the game by Wilbur Countess from a close distance when the talented Truman Baez managed to make a qualified save. Ellinwood FC's players were relieved. In the 4th minute, Thanh Metzger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Wilbur Countess managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monster Kings's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilbur Countess was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Truman Baez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute, Wilbur Countess got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Graig Ragsdale hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Clayton Bentley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zachary Field having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ezra Wilburn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zachary Field was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. 18 minutes into the match, Monster Kings's Reuben Burks sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Truman Baez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Wilbur Countess shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Truman Baez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Monster Kings's Bart Levine got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ellinwood FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Wilbur Countess scored to the left of an out of position Truman Baez, making the score, 1-0. Ellinwood FC's Truman Baez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Ellinwood FC from getting a goal against them. Clayton Bentley struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Zachary Field didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ellinwood FC. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezra Wilburn to strike the kick off in the second half. Truman Baez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Countess in the 53rd minute of play. Paul Scales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Truman Baez having to interfere. Clayton Bentley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes Ellinwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Thanh Metzger. 70 minutes into the match, Monster Kings's Nelson Smart broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 74 played minutes Ellinwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Thanh Metzger. In the 75th minute Wilbur Countess shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Truman Baez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paul Scales might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Truman Baez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul Scales ran back to his position shaking his head. Paul Scales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wilbur Countess had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monster Kings's Zachary Field played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezra Wilburn in the 83rd minute of play. Truman Baez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Countess in the 89th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Monster Kings players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
