The audience thought a goal was coming when Geoffrey Thacker got free with Vincenzo Alexander in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vincenzo Alexander made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geoffrey Thacker in the 7th minute. Florian Vela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Medina having to interfere. Reuben Potter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Lonnie Medina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Salvador Gustafson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute, BrkBcgn's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rolf Bonds fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The long shot by Alonzo Hale in the 18th minute really tested Vincenzo Alexander's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Salvador Gustafson struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Lonnie Medina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BrkBcgn. Salvador Gustafson scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lonnie Medina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salvador Gustafson in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lonnie Medina prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salvador Gustafson took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lonnie Medina. Lonnie Medina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 39 minutes into the game, BrkBcgn's Salvador Gustafson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lonnie Medina made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 44th minute, Rolf Bonds fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vincenzo Alexander, passed just outside the right post. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolf Bonds made a kick off. Salvador Gustafson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Lonnie Medina skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Joel Herrera kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Rolf Bonds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincenzo Alexander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoffrey Thacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Florian Vela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lonnie Medina having to interfere. A collision led to BrkBcgn getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Florian Vela hit a great ball. Salvador Gustafson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th match minute, BrkBcgn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reuben Potter to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the match, BrkBcgn's goal looked a bit too open when Rolf Bonds came free, but Vincenzo Alexander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Gustafson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Lonnie Medina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rolf Bonds blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vincenzo Alexander having to make a save. After 96 minutes, Rolf Bonds mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sauk Rapids AFC and the BrkBcgn players grew even worse after the yellow card.
