In the 13th minute, Rolf Bonds got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claude Swift sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sauk Rapids AFC's Lonnie Medina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Swift in the 22nd minute of play. Abraham Andrews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lonnie Medina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Sauk Rapids AFC's Geoffrey Thacker sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jarod Vick narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rolf Bonds had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, FC Hatboro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kristofer Herrera to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hatboro's zone, Rolf Bonds stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarod Vick came out of the goal and Rolf Bonds tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Houston Ibarra kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Geoffrey Thacker succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 39th playminute. Geoffrey Thacker charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geoffrey Thacker the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Geoffrey Thacker hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Rolf Bonds fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Sauk Rapids AFC booed when FC Hatboro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregory Atkins didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rolf Bonds was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes FC Hatboro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Preston Mejia who took care of the corner kick. Sauk Rapids AFC's Preston Mejia was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jarod Vick in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, FC Hatboro's Bret Beasley got a free kick in the 56th minute. Abraham Andrews struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Lonnie Medina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hatboro. After 69 minutes, Terry Goddard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hatboro and the Sauk Rapids AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Preston Mejia in the 70th minute of play forced FC Hatboro's goalkeeper Jarod Vick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gregory Atkins shot from long distance in the 74th minute, but Lonnie Medina was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. When Claude Swift came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the FC Hatboro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claude Swift couldn't finish the play. Jarod Vick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geoffrey Thacker in the 87th minute of play. Rolf Bonds struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Jarod Vick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sauk Rapids AFC. 97 minutes into the match, Sauk Rapids AFC's goalkeeper Lonnie Medina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claude Swift. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
