Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Glen Duarte kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Silas Alvaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. STL City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silas Alvaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Randy Trent breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Garry Dyer during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Garry Dyer kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Edmundo Rivas kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Parker Emery fired a really elegant long shot, but Jay Burkett threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. The supporters of STL City FC booed when South Holland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brady Barnett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silas Alvaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Trent having to interfere. Randy Trent stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glen Duarte's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, STL City FC's goalkeeper Jay Burkett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brent Shields. In the 30thth minute of the game Glen Duarte who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but South Holland's Randy Trent was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, South Holland's Brady Barnett got a free kick in the 31st minute. STL City FC's Glen Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Garry Dyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jay Burkett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Sorenson struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Randy Trent didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for STL City FC. Ty Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Randy Trent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Sorenson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Trent having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute, Roger McClendon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emmanuel Kilgore in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jay Burkett saved STL City FC from getting behind. 56 minutes into the match, South Holland's goalkeeper Randy Trent had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ty Taylor. Silas Alvaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Randy Trent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silas Alvaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Reynaldo Sorenson came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the STL City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Sorenson couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute Glen Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randy Trent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Randy Trent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glen Duarte in the 69th minute of play. Reynaldo Sorenson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Trent having to interfere. Reynaldo Sorenson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jay Burkett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brent Shields, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in South Holland's zone, Silas Alvaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randy Trent came out of the goal and Silas Alvaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Reynaldo Sorenson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Trent having to interfere. Jay Burkett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brady Barnett in the 97th minute of the match. South Holland succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though STL City FC had controlled the match.
