Domingo Hooks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Alan Lackey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Lackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Hooks in the 6th minute of play. Domingo Hooks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Lackey having to interfere. Alan Lackey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingo Hooks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. High Point AFC's Edgar Jamison got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Berry Sheehan managed to get in a good position for a shot. High Point AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Berry Sheehan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Lackey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the game, Curt Yang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Johns Creek Cobra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave High Point AFC the free kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulysses Clifford got free with Alan Lackey in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. High Point AFC's Berry Sheehan got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Baxter in the 26th minute of play forced High Point AFC's goalkeeper Tyron Carrillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, High Point AFC's Ulysses Clifford dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Tyron Carrillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sid Baxter, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Alan Lackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Hooks in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domingo Hooks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tyron Carrillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sid Baxter, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Sid Baxter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Lackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Hooks in the 62nd minute of play. Johns Creek Cobra FC's Alan Lackey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Hooks in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Johns Creek Cobra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses Clifford came free, but Alan Lackey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulysses Clifford struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Alan Lackey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for High Point AFC. In the 72nd minute Darell Weber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyron Carrillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Berry Sheehan hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Berry Sheehan fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored High Point AFC's protests and gave Berry Sheehan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, High Point AFC's Berry Sheehan got a free kick in the 81st minute. 82 minutes into the match, Johns Creek Cobra FC's Devin Johnston broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ulysses Clifford struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Alan Lackey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for High Point AFC. If Ulysses Clifford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulysses Clifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Lackey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Hooks in the 94th minute of play. Russell Fleming's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tyron Carrillo firmly grabbed it by the left post.
