Spectators: 7772 (Terracing: 5830, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 155) Malibu City AFC's Johnnie McCullough started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Raphael Kerr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnnie McCullough, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Andrew Whittaker put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Raphael Kerr. Darron Slater took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jake Cash. Malibu City AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Malibu City AFC's Scot Jolly got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Malibu City AFC's zone, Gavin Garcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Cash came out of the goal and Gavin Garcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Alfonzo Triplett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 33 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Malibu City AFC! In the 35th minute there was a penalty for Blue Crystal. Joel Lancaster stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jake Cash. 1-1. Jake Cash made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavin Garcia in the 39th minute of play. Gavin Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jake Cash having to interfere. In the 49th minute, Sterling Abel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gavin Garcia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Whittaker in the 53rd minute of play forced Blue Crystal's goalkeeper Raphael Kerr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Gavin Garcia took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Jake Cash to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tommie Barlow during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Malibu City AFC got a freekick which was hit by Tommie Barlow. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sterling Abel got free with Jake Cash in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raphael Kerr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnnie McCullough in the 73rd minute of play. Sterling Abel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Andrew Whittaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnnie McCullough in the 87th minute of play forced Blue Crystal's goalkeeper Raphael Kerr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sterling Abel took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jake Cash. Jake Cash dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Raphael Kerr came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Malibu City AFC's Johnnie McCullough. But to his dismay, Johnnie McCullough quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The Blue Crystal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
