Lake Goodwin's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Hank Keith scored to the left of an out of position Roger Foley, making the score, 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, Thurman Griffith notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Big FC's Henry Gunn. Henry Gunn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 16th minute of the match Antony Morton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Henry Gunn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Thurman Griffith notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Big FC's Henry Gunn. Henry Gunn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 22nd minute, Big FC's Bryan Trimble dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Roger Foley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hank Keith in the 26th minute of the match. Thurman Griffith charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thurman Griffith the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thurman Griffith kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Roger Foley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hank Keith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rdth minute of the game Thurman Griffith who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Big FC's Henry Gunn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Jarrett Hartley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lake Goodwin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jarrett Hartley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Lake Goodwin's Roger Foley got control of the ball when Cory Byers tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Thurman Griffith put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Henry Gunn. Shaun Andrade charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shaun Andrade the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Big FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun Andrade to maneuver through the defense.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thurman Griffith to make the kick off. Roger Foley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hank Keith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thurman Griffith kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 57thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Big FC's keeper Henry Gunn was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shaun Andrade in the 61st minute of play forced Lake Goodwin's goalkeeper Roger Foley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Big FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Bradly Gilliam hit a great ball. Dominique Caldwell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henry Gunn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Oren Barbour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute, Cory Byers made a precise shot to the right of Roger Foley. Lake Goodwin's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shaun Andrade in the 81st minute of play forced Lake Goodwin's goalkeeper Roger Foley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Big FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Rodney Doyle hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Big FC's goalkeeper Henry Gunn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thurman Griffith. Elton Stjohn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Gunn having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Big FC's Cory Byers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roger Foley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lake Goodwin players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Big FC.
