In the 7th minute Cory Byers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reuben Schmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Montgomery City AFC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Del Poe hit a great ball. In the 9thth minute of the game Cory Byers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montgomery City AFC's Reuben Schmidt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 12 played minutes Big FC got a freekick which was hit by Cory Byers. Reuben Schmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hank Keith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Montgomery City AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Emanuel Gilbert hit a great ball. After 17 minutes of play, Big FC's Hank Keith made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reuben Schmidt was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Big FC's Mark Mathews got a free kick in the 20th minute. Montgomery City AFC's Reuben Schmidt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cory Byers in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cary Keane during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Montgomery City AFC's Cary Keane got a free kick in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Hank Keith was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Big FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montgomery City AFC the free kick. In the 27th minute, Hank Keith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cory Byers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Reuben Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cory Byers in the 38th minute of play forced Montgomery City AFC's goalkeeper Reuben Schmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Lionel Deal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Montgomery City AFC's Lionel Deal got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hank Keith made a kick off. The supporters of Big FC booed when Montgomery City AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Freddie Lujan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Big FC's Cory Byers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reuben Schmidt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute Montgomery City AFC were awarded a corner. Johnathon Starr went to the cornerflag to take it. Johnathon Starr made a great header on Montgomery City AFC's corner, it was just that Big FC's Henry Gunn managed to reach the ball for a save. Cory Byers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reuben Schmidt having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Big FC's zone, Clark Carrey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Gunn came out of the goal and Clark Carrey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute Montgomery City AFC were awarded a corner. Johnathon Starr went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 75th minute, Cory Byers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reuben Schmidt was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 80 minutes into the game, Frankie Marino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Big FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montgomery City AFC the free kick. In the 81st minute, Frankie Marino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute of the match, Hank Keith tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Reuben Schmidt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Big FC's Cliff Page got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Big FC's Henry Gunn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathon Starr in the 94th minute of play. Big FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
