Thurman Griffith started the match with the kick off. Lake Goodwin's Thurman Griffith got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Oren Barbour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, Solomon McKay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Henrietta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lake Goodwin the free kick. A collision led to Henrietta getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Solomon McKay hit a great ball. The Lake Goodwin fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Lake Goodwin's Thurman Griffith looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 15th minute Sung Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Foley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarrett Hartley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jamar Pickett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Henrietta getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Jeremiah Nash hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Lake Goodwin's goalkeeper Roger Foley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremiah Nash. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thurman Griffith in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jamar Pickett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Henrietta's goalie and right to Jarrett Hartley. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Henrietta's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 26th minute Elton Stjohn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jamar Pickett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thurman Griffith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jamar Pickett having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Thurman Griffith ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jamar Pickett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. If Thurman Griffith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cesar Longoria during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cesar Longoria hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Thurman Griffith struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Jamar Pickett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lake Goodwin. Lake Goodwin's Roger Foley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sung Santos in the 42nd minute of play. Joey Harper kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sung Santos made the kick off in the second half. Jeremiah Nash fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roger Foley having to interfere. Rod Ortega took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roger Foley. Lake Goodwin's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Henrietta's zone, Oren Barbour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jamar Pickett came out of the goal and Oren Barbour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Jamar Pickett managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Lake Goodwin's Thurman Griffith fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thurman Griffith in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jamar Pickett prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Lake Goodwin booed when Henrietta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Longoria didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lake Goodwin's Thurman Griffith got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Thurman Griffith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Lake Goodwin got a freekick which was hit by Elton Stjohn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thurman Griffith in the 78th minute of play forced Henrietta's goalkeeper Jamar Pickett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Henrietta's goalkeeper Jamar Pickett had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thurman Griffith. 87 minutes into the match, Henrietta's goal looked a bit too open when Thurman Griffith came free, but Jamar Pickett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thurman Griffith who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Jamar Pickett when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Roger Foley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sung Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Leland Glover's late challenge caught a Henrietta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leland Glover helped the player get up and apologised. Leland Glover kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After 93 played minutes, Henrietta's Rod Ortega shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Roger Foley came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Henrietta reached it. Roger Foley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sung Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 96 minutes of play, Henrietta's Jeremiah Nash made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Foley was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Henrietta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lake Goodwin were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
