Spectators: 5060 (Terracing: 4020, Seating: 1020, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tom Tobin started the match with the kick off. Bryan Magee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryant Stringer hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Rene Riddle struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Sonny Mayfield didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buna. In the 8th minute, Tom Tobin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sonny Mayfield made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Tobin in the 10th minute of play. Scotty Rasmussen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brent Krueger, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Rene Riddle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Edward Myers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bryan Magee struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. After 34 minutes, Wally Wilkins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Buna and the Lemont FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Buna getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Wally Wilkins hit a great ball. Brent Krueger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Geoff Lake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Scotty Rasmussen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Myers in the 44th minute of play. Geoff Lake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Mayfield having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lanny Ruiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Buna's Bryan Magee got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tom Tobin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sonny Mayfield having to interfere. Sonny Mayfield didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rene Riddle went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Sonny Mayfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Magee, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 65 minutes, Lanny Ruiz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lemont FC and the Buna players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lemont FC's Lanny Ruiz got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66thth minute of the game Tom Tobin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lemont FC's Sonny Mayfield was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edward Myers's late challenge caught a Buna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edward Myers helped the player get up and apologised. Edward Myers hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Rene Riddle sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lemont FC's Sonny Mayfield didn't even have to move. 73 minutes into the match, Lemont FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rene Riddle came free, but Sonny Mayfield reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute, Edward Myers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garry Whitfield kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the match, Buna's goal looked a bit too open when Lanny Ruiz came free, but Scotty Rasmussen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tom Tobin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Mayfield read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Buna fully deserved thier win.
