Raymundo Bonilla dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 5 minutes into the match, Tommie Dillard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curtis Alexander. Arsenal Imitation F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommie Dillard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Arsenal Imitation F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hank Swain came free, but Curtis Alexander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arsenal Imitation F.C.'s Raymundo Bonilla in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Midway's goalie prevented a goal. Curtis Alexander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommie Dillard, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Tommie Dillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curtis Alexander having to interfere. If Hank Swain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jermaine Ludwig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raymundo Bonilla in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hank Swain in the 22nd minute of play forced Arsenal Imitation F.C.'s goalkeeper Curtis Alexander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hank Swain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Curtis Alexander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommie Dillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curtis Alexander having to interfere. FC Midway's Jermaine Ludwig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raymundo Bonilla in the 38th minute of play. Tommie Dillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curtis Alexander having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Raymundo Bonilla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hank Swain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Curtis Alexander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hank Swain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curtis Alexander having to interfere. Curtis Alexander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommie Dillard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommie Dillard in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Curtis Alexander saved Arsenal Imitation F.C. from getting behind. In the 68th match minute, Arsenal Imitation F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Moyer to maneuver through the defense. If Raymundo Bonilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute Nick Woodall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jermaine Ludwig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hank Swain recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommie Dillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curtis Alexander having to interfere. In the 87th minute of the match Leland Shultz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Curtis Alexander showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jermaine Ludwig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raymundo Bonilla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arsenal Imitation F.C.'s Curtis Alexander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal Imitation F.C. from getting a goal against them.
