Spectators: 5060 (Terracing: 4020, Seating: 1020, VIP seats: 20) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Brady Harman took the kick off in the first half of the match. Scotty Rasmussen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brady Harman in the 4th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, New Stanton AFC's Abdul Figueroa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Scotty Rasmussen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tom Tobin in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Sylvester prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind New Stanton AFC's goalkeeper David Sylvester, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tom Tobin in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Sylvester saved New Stanton AFC from getting behind. David Sylvester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tom Tobin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wally Wilkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. David Sylvester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wally Wilkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wally Wilkins in the 41st minute of play forced New Stanton AFC's goalkeeper David Sylvester to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th match minute, Buna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wally Wilkins to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience held their breath when Charlton Weiss in the 48th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Scotty Rasmussen's left hand side. The wind increased when Tom Tobin made the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes into the match, New Stanton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Magee came free, but David Sylvester reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Buna's Rene Riddle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Sylvester narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Garry Whitfield had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Buna's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Mark Herbert scored to the left of an out of position Scotty Rasmussen, making the score, 0-2. When Tom Tobin came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Buna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tom Tobin couldn't finish the play. After 77 played minutes Buna got a freekick which was hit by Garry Whitfield. Brady Harman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scotty Rasmussen having to interfere. Wilbert Sullivan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Buna's Tom Tobin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Sylvester narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in New Stanton AFC's zone, Tom Tobin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Sylvester came out of the goal and Tom Tobin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Buna getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Geoff Lake hit a great ball. Bryan Magee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Buna manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing New Stanton AFC to win.
