Curtis Alexander came out of the goal and Tom Tobin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raymundo Bonilla was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Wally Wilkins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tom Tobin might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Curtis Alexander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. When Kristopher Layton fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buna's protests and gave Kristopher Layton a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Buna getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Kristopher Layton hit a great ball. Scotty Rasmussen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raymundo Bonilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Buna's Tom Tobin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curtis Alexander narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arsenal Imitation F.C.'s Curtis Alexander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tom Tobin in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Tom Tobin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Buna's Tom Tobin got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raymundo Bonilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Buna players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
