Spectators: 7267 (Terracing: 5767, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Hugo David took the kick off in the first half of the match. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Andreas Boyer took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ian Roark to make any attempt to save it. Andreas Boyer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Roark having to make a save. A collision led to Malvern getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Sheldon Ramey hit a great ball. Shannon Gagne, 13 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Honeyfreaks's Andreas Boyer in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Malvern's goalie prevented a goal. Norberto Friend's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ian Roark firmly grabbed it by the left post. Norberto Friend struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ian Roark didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honeyfreaks. In the 24th minute, Sanford Boudreaux hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roman Lockwood received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Leonardo Dempsey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Honeyfreaks's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo David came free, but Leonardo Dempsey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian Dillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Dempsey having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Johnny Meier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honeyfreaks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malvern the free kick. Johnny Meier kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A collision led to Malvern getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Sanford Boudreaux hit a great ball. Ian Roark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johnny Meier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonardo Dempsey made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Ian Dillard sent off a good shot on target. Ian Dillard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Dempsey having to interfere. Ian Roark made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Norberto Friend in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Andreas Boyer made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Malvern's Ian Roark tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Norberto Friend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Malvern's Ian Roark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Boyer in the 86th minute of play. Hugo David struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Leonardo Dempsey didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malvern. The supporters of Malvern booed when Honeyfreaks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Boyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo David in the 90th minute of play forced Honeyfreaks's goalkeeper Leonardo Dempsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Malvern's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Malvern may have spent more time on the ball, but Honeyfreaks were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
