Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julio Newsome kicked off to start the match. Al Ames was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gregg Stewart. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gregg Stewart during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute, Gregg Stewart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickey Duvall in the 10th minute of play forced Fénix's goalkeeper Johnathon Guillory to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Johnathon Guillory took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trinidad Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnathon Guillory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mickey Duvall in the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mundelein FC's goalkeeper Al Ames, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johnathon Guillory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trinidad Leal in the 23rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raul Mosher during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Raul Mosher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnathon Guillory showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trinidad Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the Fénix defense, Romeo Gentry kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johnathon Guillory. The Fénix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johnathon Guillory should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the game, Joey Trevino threw the ball into play from the sideline. Fénix's Conrad McDonald quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Johnathon Guillory made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trinidad Leal in the 32nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, Romeo Gentry cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Johnathon Guillory was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Raul Mosher hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Julio Newsome got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Fénix's Johnathon Guillory got control of the ball when Romeo Gentry tried to sneak it across the goal line. Romeo Gentry scored 0-3 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnathon Guillory, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Romeo Gentry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mickey Duvalls short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Johnathon Guillory to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 76th minute, Mundelein FC's Mickey Duvall dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Mundelein FC's Trinidad Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Newsome recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Julio Newsome came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Fénix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julio Newsome couldn't finish the play. Johnathon Guillory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trinidad Leal in the 92nd minute of the match. If J.P. Haley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Trinidad Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnathon Guillory saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnathon Guillory showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mickey Duvall, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
