The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Johnathon Guillory showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ted Sellers in the 48th minute of play forced Fénix's goalkeeper Johnathon Guillory to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Johnathon Guillory showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Logan Bentley in the 92nd minute of the match. J.P. Haley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Castillo De Reyes having to interfere. Espanya 36's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
