The audience thought a goal was coming when Dante Doyle got free with Sylvester Singleton in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 13 in the game by Dante Doyle from a close distance when the talented Sylvester Singleton managed to make a qualified save. Horus's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rob Richter in the 14th minute of play forced Chicagoville FC's goalkeeper Wendell Harmon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wendell Harmon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Dale in the 15th minute of the match. If Dante Doyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 23 played minutes Horus got a freekick which was hit by DeMarcus Darling. Dante Doyle had several of the Horus's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Sylvester Singleton as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 30th match minute, Horus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cameron Addison to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the game, Horus's Steven Dale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wendell Harmon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Dale in the 37th minute of play forced Chicagoville FC's goalkeeper Wendell Harmon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Horus booed when Chicagoville FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk Mullins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Boyd Penn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chicagoville FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dante Doyle made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Quinn Puckett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chicagoville FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Quinn Puckett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sylvester Singleton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Cameron Addison took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Wendell Harmon to make any attempt to save it. Dante Doyle struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Sylvester Singleton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chicagoville FC. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Dirk Mullins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chicagoville FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dirk Mullins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sylvester Singleton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Horus's Sylvester Singleton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Doyle in the 81st minute of play. Sylvester Singleton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dante Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Wendell Harmon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Richter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Doyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Everett Bellamy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Horus's goalkeeper Sylvester Singleton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Cameron Addison fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horus's protests and gave Cameron Addison a yellow card for diving instead. Cameron Addison hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Chicagoville FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
