In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind South Lockport's goalkeeper Quinn Sams, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 20 minutes, Freddy Townsend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LA Galaxy FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freddy Townsend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giuseppe Dyer was the one to do the kick off. Quinn Sams showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Rooney in the 62nd minute of the match. After 62 minutes, Giuseppe Dyer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the South Lockport and the LA Galaxy FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of LA Galaxy FC booed when South Lockport was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Dyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quinn Sams tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Alex Rooney had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rob Rankin during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 97 played minutes South Lockport got a freekick which was hit by Rob Rankin. Despite being the better team, LA Galaxy FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
