Solomon Donaldson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Archie Lanier in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Solomon Donaldson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 36 minutes, Johnathon McDonough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rocky Ford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnathon McDonough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johnathon McDonough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Solomon Donaldson having to interfere. Solomon Donaldson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathon McDonough, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42ndth minute of the game Deon Hawthorne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fairbury's Solomon Donaldson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Solomon Donaldson came out of the goal and Johnathon McDonough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johnathon McDonough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Solomon Donaldson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rocky Ford's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
