Benito Vinson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Thome, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Ali Thome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Benito Vinson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Argentinos F.C.'s goalkeeper Benito Vinson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Flushing got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Edwards. The audience was convinced that Charles Huffman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Vinson was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

Argentinos F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flushing the free kick. Charles Huffman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Vinson having to interfere. In the 92ndth minute of the game William Correa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flushing's Brock Mohr was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that William Correa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Brock Mohr was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Argentinos F.C. fully deserved thier win.
