Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Charles Huffman made the kick off which started today's match. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for LA Galaxy FC! The referee gave Flushing a penalty, 4 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wilbur Beltre, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of LA Galaxy FC's Byron Smalls. 1-0. When Charles Huffman came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Flushing fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Huffman couldn't finish the play. Byron Smalls made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Huffman in the 13th minute of play. Ali Thome who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Byron Smalls when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in LA Galaxy FC's zone, Charles Huffman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Byron Smalls came out of the goal and Charles Huffman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brock Mohr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Rooney, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind LA Galaxy FC's goalkeeper Byron Smalls, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, LA Galaxy FC's Jacques Ennis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brock Mohr narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alex Rooney received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Brock Mohr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. LA Galaxy FC's Byron Smalls proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save LA Galaxy FC from getting a goal against them. Dustin Keyes kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. With a little luck, LA Galaxy FC's Byron Smalls got control of the ball when Ali Thome tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ali Thome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Rooney stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the game, Charles Huffman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Byron Smalls was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 66 minutes into the match, LA Galaxy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Huffman came free, but Byron Smalls reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Byron Smalls came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Flushing's Ali Thome. But to his dismay, Ali Thome quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Ali Thome sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the match, LA Galaxy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Charles Huffman came free, but Byron Smalls reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Huffman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Flushing's Cristobal Perry got a free kick in the 88th minute. Byron Smalls took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Huffman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. LA Galaxy FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
