After 7 played minutes Fairbury got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Foster. 22 minutes into the game, Chicagoville FC's Dante Doyle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Solomon Donaldson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Johnathon Doherty charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Quinn Puckett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Solomon Donaldson having to interfere. Fairbury's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th minute, one of Chicagoville FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chicagoville FC. Al Hutchison shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Fairbury's Solomon Donaldson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinn Puckett in the 40th minute of play. Wendell Harmon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddie Foster in the 43rd minute of the match. Ted Calhoun took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wendell Harmon. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Dante Doyle made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Chicagoville FC's Quinn Puckett dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Dirk Mullins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Solomon Donaldson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Fairbury's goalkeeper Solomon Donaldson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dante Doyle. Wendell Harmon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Mattson, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Dante Doyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Solomon Donaldson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Al Hutchison hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Everett Bellamy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Solomon Donaldson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Chicagoville FC's Jared Glenn seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jared Glenn the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Chicagoville FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jared Glenn had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Al Hutchison walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Dante Doyle might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Solomon Donaldson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dante Doyle ran back to his position shaking his head. Chicagoville FC's Dante Doyle got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eddie Foster kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Fairbury's Solomon Donaldson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Doyle in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Chicagoville FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fairbury.
