Gotham City Athletic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flushing the free kick. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Elvis Huston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Thome, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Thome in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elvis Huston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ace Godfrey hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 36th match minute, Gotham City Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ace Godfrey to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Charles Huffman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charles Huffman made a kick off. Arturo Barber took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Brock Mohr. Flushing's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 56th minute, Cristobal Perry made a precise shot to the right of Elvis Huston. When the final whistle sounded Flushing left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gotham City Athletic.
