Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Deon Hawthorne started the match with the kick off. If Charles Huffman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flushing's Brock Mohr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnathon McDonough in the 8th minute of play. Cristobal Perry hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 13 minutes into the match, Flushing's goal looked a bit too open when Deon Hawthorne came free, but Brock Mohr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnathon McDonough received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Brock Mohr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Nathaniel Randolph successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathon McDonough in the 29th minute of play forced Flushing's goalkeeper Brock Mohr to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Archie Lanier's late challenge caught a Flushing's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Archie Lanier helped the player get up and apologised. Deon Hawthorne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brock Mohr having to interfere. Nathaniel Randolph showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Huffman in the 40th minute of the match. When Roderick Burnett fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rocky Ford's protests and gave Roderick Burnett a yellow card for diving instead. Ali Thome struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Nathaniel Randolph didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flushing. Deon Hawthorne scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brock Mohr, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles Huffman to make the kick off. When Ali Thome came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Flushing fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ali Thome couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Flushing's Asher Kane got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Wilbur Beltre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flushing's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rocky Ford the free kick. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Flushing! In the 61st match minute, Flushing was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Edwards to maneuver through the defense. After 64 played minutes Flushing got a freekick which was hit by Dustin Keyes. After a defensive mix-up in Flushing's zone, Johnathon McDonough stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brock Mohr came out of the goal and Johnathon McDonough tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristobal Perry got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Nathaniel Randolph didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ali Thome went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Johnathon McDonough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brock Mohr having to interfere.
