Seating: 1785, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gregg Ferrell kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Woodbury Heights defense, Johnathon Hoff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theodore Lunsford. The Woodbury Heights fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theodore Lunsford should have stopped the shot. If Nelson Shultz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theodore Lunsford took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Val Mabry, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Woodbury Heights's Theodore Lunsford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Spencer Webb in the 16th minute of play. Theodore Lunsford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathon Hoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. CSyD Almafuerte were furious when Vernon Ledford was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Vernon Ledford kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Thad Brunson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Theodore Lunsford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnathon Hoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. With a little luck, CSyD Almafuerte's Glenn Cardwell got control of the ball when Nelson Shultz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in CSyD Almafuerte's zone, Gregg Ferrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glenn Cardwell came out of the goal and Gregg Ferrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gregg Ferrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Glenn Cardwell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Johnathon Hoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Freddie Ferrell took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Theodore Lunsford. Theodore Lunsford dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The CSyD Almafuerte fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when CSyD Almafuerte's Johnathon Hoff looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Johnathon Hoff to make the kick off. In the 57th match minute, Woodbury Heights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thad Brunson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Woodbury Heights's Theodore Lunsford got control of the ball when Johnathon Hoff tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Gregg Ferrell came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Woodbury Heights fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregg Ferrell couldn't finish the play. If Gregg Ferrell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, CSyD Almafuerte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Val Mabry to maneuver through the defense. After 65 minutes of play, CSyD Almafuerte's Freddie Ferrell made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theodore Lunsford was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gregg Ferrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Val Mabry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodore Lunsford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theodore Lunsford made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Johnathon Hoff sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, CSyD Almafuerte's Freddie Ferrell got a free kick in the 78th minute. Woodbury Heights's Thad Brunson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 78th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for CSyD Almafuerte. Theodore Lunsford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jessie Goss in the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CSyD Almafuerte's zone, Gregg Ferrell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Glenn Cardwell came out of the goal and Gregg Ferrell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched CSyD Almafuerte eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
