Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Danny Coffey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Noble in the 9th minute of play. Marlboro's Ned Goddard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stacy Pearce in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Phoenix Scorchers getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Reggie Bailey hit a great ball. Sanford Gutierrezs short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Danny Coffey to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 30th play minutes Stacy Pearce shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ned Goddard and just under the crossbar into goal. Sanford Gutierrez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the game, Marlboro's Sanford Gutierrez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danny Coffey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Santo Workman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ralph Noble made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes, D.J. Benjamin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marlboro and the Phoenix Scorchers players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Marlboro getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. D.J. Benjamin hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Phoenix Scorchers's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Noble came free, but Danny Coffey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralph Noble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Santo Workman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ned Goddard, 1-2. In the 72nd minute, Ralph Noble left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marlboro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Phoenix Scorchers's goalkeeper Danny Coffey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stacy Pearce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ned Goddard having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Marlboro's goal looked a bit too open when Santo Workman came free, but Ned Goddard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Otto Beasley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marlboro's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
