Greg Browning fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ned Goddard having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alec Dias in the 6th minute of play forced Marlboro's goalkeeper Ned Goddard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Arsenal's Darrell Worthington got control of the ball when Sanford Gutierrez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Darrell Worthington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Noble, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Alec Dias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ned Goddard was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The Arsenal fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Arsenal's Tyrell Kerns looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Arsenal booed when Marlboro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derek Roper didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Alec Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marlboro's Ned Goddard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 23 minutes, Tyrell Kerns managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arsenal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tyrell Kerns was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute Alec Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ned Goddard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tyrell Kerns came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Arsenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tyrell Kerns couldn't finish the play. 29 minutes into the match, Marlboro's goal looked a bit too open when Tyrell Kerns came free, but Ned Goddard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 played minutes Marlboro got a freekick which was hit by D.J. Benjamin. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Rudy Montoya got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greg Browning in the 38th minute of play forced Marlboro's goalkeeper Ned Goddard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ned Goddard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Greg Browning in the 42nd minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Greg Browning in the 43rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ned Goddard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greg Browning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Sanford Gutierrez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Darrell Worthington, 1-2. After the first half Arsenal were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tyrell Kerns made the kick off in the second half. Marlboro's Ned Goddard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Marlboro from getting a goal against them. Ned Goddard came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Arsenal's Greg Browning. But to his dismay, Greg Browning quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. A hard shot 58 in the game by Greg Browning from a close distance when the talented Ned Goddard managed to make a qualified save. Marlboro's players were relieved. Tyrell Kerns kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. A collision led to Arsenal getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Rudy Montoya hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyrell Kerns in the 70th minute of play forced Marlboro's goalkeeper Ned Goddard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marlboro's Ned Goddard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Marlboro from getting a goal against them. Greg Browning in the 73rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ned Goddard, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marlboro's Ned Goddard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyrell Kerns in the 74th minute of play. Darrell Worthington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sanford Gutierrez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alec Dias hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 88 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Sanford Gutierrez came free, but Darrell Worthington reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Greg Browning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Tyrell Kerns managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsenal's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyrell Kerns was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ned Goddard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ned Goddard made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percy Blake in the 92nd minute. The Arsenal fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Arsenal's Tyrell Kerns looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the final whistle sounded Arsenal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marlboro.
