Simon Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenic Marrero in the 8th minute of the match. Quinn Pruett recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domenic Marrero in the 22nd minute of play forced Plantation Key's goalkeeper Simon Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyle Rogers kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. If Geoff Tolbert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geoff Tolbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Kapaa FC's Caleb Coles got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plantation Key's goalkeeper Simon Pena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Geoff Tolbert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Simon Pena. Plantation Key's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geoff Tolbert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Domenic Marrero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jacob Lyles's late challenge caught a Kapaa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacob Lyles helped the player get up and apologised. Jacob Lyles hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Geoff Tolberts short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Simon Pena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Plantation Key's goalkeeper Simon Pena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kapaa FC's zone, Romeo Rasmussen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harry Joseph came out of the goal and Romeo Rasmussen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Plantation Key's Simon Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenic Marrero in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute Quinn Pruett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Joseph saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Domenic Marrero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Plantation Key booed when Kapaa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caleb Coles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Harry Joseph showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Quinn Pruett in the 93rd minute of the match. Geoff Tolbert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Simon Pena made a huge save. When Romeo Rasmussen came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Plantation Key fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeo Rasmussen couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
