A collision led to Gadsden getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Nigel Crandall hit a great ball. Scottie Wooten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odell Babcock in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilbur Acosta in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emery Browning saved Syracuse FC from getting behind. Allan Duke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Scottie Wooten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Wilbur Acosta put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emery Browning. Odell Babcock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Scottie Wooten having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Syracuse FC's Emerson Doyle got a free kick in the 27th minute. Wilbur Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Odell Babcock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Syracuse FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbur Acosta came free, but Emery Browning reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilbur Acosta in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emery Browning prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Gadsden fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Gadsden's Wilbur Acosta looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

Syracuse FC's Odell Babcock got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Syracuse FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Gregory Uhl hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Clark Payne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nigel Crandall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69thth minute of the game Wilbur Acosta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Syracuse FC's Emery Browning was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Clay Roberson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 77 minutes into the match, Dudley Emery dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emery Browning, 0-6. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilbert Sykes during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wilbert Sykes hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Wilbur Acosta in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emery Browning, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Emery Browning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugh Boston in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Syracuse FC's Clay Roberson got a free kick in the 90th minute. When Gadsden's Wilbur Acosta in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Syracuse FC's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 93 in the game by Wilbur Acosta from a close distance when the talented Emery Browning managed to make a qualified save. Syracuse FC's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilbur Acosta in the 95th managed to get into a good position. When the final whistle sounded Gadsden left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Syracuse FC.
