Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Rosario Sylvester took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Kapaa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rosario Sylvester came free, but Toby Bradford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shannon Bateman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 10 minutes, Rosario Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitmore Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rosario Sylvester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Kapaa AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Whitmore Lake:s goal. Toby Bradford went to the wrong direction when John Barry was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Whitmore Lake's Rosario Sylvester got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Kapaa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winford Powers to maneuver through the defense. Rosario Sylvester received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Toby Bradford came out and tried to block the shot, but Rosario Sylvester slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. Shannon Batemans short, quick shot in the 24thth minute got Toby Bradford to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Shannon Bateman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Toby Bradford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Kapaa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dean Charles to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Kapaa AFC's zone, Rosario Sylvester stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toby Bradford came out of the goal and Rosario Sylvester tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Whitmore Lake getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Stephen Nava hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Rocky Lyon made the kick off in the second half. Whitmore Lake's Bradly Paris proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Whitmore Lake from getting a goal against them. When Whitmore Lake's Rosario Sylvester in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kapaa AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Toby Bradford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shannon Bateman's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malcolm Tanner during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Kapaa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Malcolm Tanner to maneuver through the defense. Kapaa AFC's Toby Bradford played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shannon Bateman in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Shannon Bateman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whitmore Lake fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Shannon Bateman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Toby Bradford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Junior Easley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 76 minutes, Shannon Bateman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitmore Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shannon Bateman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute Shannon Bateman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toby Bradford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Shannon Bateman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whitmore Lake's supporters rose to their feet, but Shannon Bateman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toby Bradford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Toby Bradford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shannon Bateman, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. A collision led to Kapaa AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Roland Romo hit a great ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Shannon Bateman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitmore Lake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shannon Bateman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Whitmore Lake walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
