The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quincy Fujieda in the 7th minute of play forced Glenside AFC's goalkeeper Theodore Ferris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Randolph Aguilera charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Randolph Aguilera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randolph Aguilera to maneuver through the defense. Rene McCracken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sonny Townsend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sonny Townsend struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. A.J. Burt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glenside AFC. Sonny Townsend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. A.J. Burt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's Randolph Aguilera got a free kick in the 21st minute. Rene McCracken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicholas Brunson struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Theodore Ferris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL. Sonny Townsend took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised A.J. Burt. A.J. Burt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A.J. Burt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sonny Townsend's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Rene McCracken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenside AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rene McCracken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A.J. Burt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sonny Townsend in the 46th minute of the match. SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's A.J. Burt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sonny Townsend in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicholas Brunson to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene McCracken got free with A.J. Burt in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sonny Townsend was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Glenside AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Quincy Fujieda kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Quincy Fujieda hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. A hard shot 71 in the game by Rene McCracken from a close distance when the talented A.J. Burt managed to make a qualified save. SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sonny Townsend in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck A.J. Burt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th minute, Nicholas Brunson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theodore Ferris was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Val Bartley kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Sonny Townsend fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without A.J. Burt having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Sonny Townsend recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of A.J. Burt. Sonny Townsend showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Rene McCracken could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but A.J. Burt made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Glenside AFC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
