Graham Bullock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Connors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ari Brandon came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Chalco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ari Brandon couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Yawgoog F.C's Ulysses Spencer got control of the ball when Cliff Robertson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Tobias Connors had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Graham Bullock. Chalco's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tobias Connors was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Ulysses Spencer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cliff Robertson went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Al Mott during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Yawgoog F.C getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Al Mott hit a great ball. A collision led to Chalco getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Ari Brandon hit a great ball. Cliff Robertson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses Spencer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ari Brandon in the 65th minute of the match. Drew Colvin hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Grady Swenson fired a really elegant long shot, but Graham Bullock threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. After having played for 78 minutes, Ari Brandon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chalco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ari Brandon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Chalco booed when Yawgoog F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Seals didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ari Brandon might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Spencer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ari Brandon ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute Ari Brandon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Spencer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cliff Robertson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ulysses Spencer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. If Ari Brandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Yawgoog F.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chalco.
