The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Hugh Boston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. Wilbur Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nigel Crandall recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Simon Pena didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Gadsden's Wilbur Acosta shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-0 in the ordered_time% minute. When Sergio Engel came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Plantation Key fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Engel couldn't finish the play. With his leg Simon Pena managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Gadsden's Wilbur Acosta fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Gadsden's Dudley Emery in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Plantation Key's goalie prevented a goal. After 30 played minutes Gadsden got a freekick which was hit by Dudley Emery. Quinn Pruett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38thth minute of the game Hugh Boston who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plantation Key's Simon Pena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Gadsden fans' excitement grew in the 38th match minute when Gadsden's Hugh Boston looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Alfredo Patten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gadsden's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredo Patten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilbur Acosta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Pena having to interfere. If Alfredo Patten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilbur Acosta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Simon Pena when he managed to save the team from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilbur Acosta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilbur Acosta in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Pena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Quinn Pruett kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilbur Acosta in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Simon Pena saved Plantation Key from getting behind. Alfredo Patten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Pena having to interfere. Jarvis Bartley hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Simon Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilbur Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Nigel Crandall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Wilbur Acosta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Pena was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 68th minute, Wilbur Acosta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 70 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Wilbur Acosta sped through Plantation Key's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Simon Pena. Hugh Boston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Simon Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilbur Acosta in the 75th minute of play forced Plantation Key's goalkeeper Simon Pena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilbur Acosta might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simon Pena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilbur Acosta ran back to his position shaking his head. Simon Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Acosta in the 80th minute of play. When Gadsden's Wilbur Acosta in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Plantation Key's goalie prevented a goal. Simon Pena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilbur Acosta's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. When Gadsden's Dudley Emery in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Plantation Key's goalie prevented a goal. If Quinn Pruett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilbur Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Gadsden players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
