Ari Brandon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 15th minute Rosario Sylvester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Graham Bullock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Chalco's Ari Brandon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cliff Robertson got free with Bradly Paris in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bradly Paris made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Cliff Robertson sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute of the match Richie Diamond shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Graham Bullock showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, Domenico Murray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute, Shannon Bateman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 played minutes Whitmore Lake got a freekick which was hit by Graig Crawford. Chalco's Cliff Robertson got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Ari Brandon took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Bradly Paris to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ari Brandon made a kick off. The supporters of Chalco booed when Whitmore Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stephen Nava didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bradly Paris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Robertson in the 56th minute of play. Ari Brandon struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Bradly Paris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chalco. If Cliff Robertson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Chalco getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Esteban Sargent hit a great ball. Whitmore Lake's Rosario Sylvester managed to work through Chalco's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Rosario Sylvester dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 68 minutes into the game, one of Chalco:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 3-1 came through a penalty shot after 69 played minutes, when Whitmore Lake:s John Barry calmly waited for Chalco:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Graham Bullock made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Shannon Bateman sent off a good shot on target. Antoine Bright kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Rosario Sylvester was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Ari Brandon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Ari Brandon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chalco's supporters rose to their feet, but Ari Brandon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bradly Paris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Whitmore Lake's zone, Cliff Robertson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bradly Paris came out of the goal and Cliff Robertson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Chalco were the better team. Chalco's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
