Spectators: 7722 (Terracing: 5792, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 154) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Quinn Pruett took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Plantation Key's goalkeeper Simon Pena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In a very dangerous position, a player in Plantation Key fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Sterling Strong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Plantation Key booed when La Scaloneta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Goldstein didn't get a good kick on the ball. Plantation Key's Simon Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daron Byrd in the 26th minute of play. After having played for 29 minutes, Sterling Strong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Scaloneta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sterling Strong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sterling Strong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Quinn Pruett scored 0-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Henry Hill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Denny Winters struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Simon Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Scaloneta FC. La Scaloneta FC's Sterling Strong got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sterling Strong made a kick off. If Sterling Strong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the game, Denny Winters cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Simon Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sterling Strong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Simon Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Plantation Key's zone, Denny Winters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Pena came out of the goal and Denny Winters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Denny Winters managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Scaloneta FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denny Winters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Pena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 70 minutes, Austin Sinclair mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Scaloneta FC and the Plantation Key players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute, Austin Sinclair hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, Quinn Pruett fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta FC's Nelson Garza got a free kick in the 80th minute. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Plantation Key's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elvis Chavez was slow to take the kick. During this time La Scaloneta FC's players had a chance to rest. Sterling Strong made a great header on La Scaloneta FC's corner, it was just that Plantation Key's Simon Pena managed to reach the ball for a save. Lenny Ernst recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Plantation Key's Quinn Pruett slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henry Hill. That made the score 2-2 after 89 minutes of play. Sergio Engel kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. When Sterling Strong came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the La Scaloneta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sterling Strong couldn't finish the play.
