Spectators: 7535 (Terracing: 5767, Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Sonny Townsend kicked off to start the match. In the 3rdth minute of the game Sonny Townsend who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yawgoog F.C's Ulysses Spencer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodrigo Rojas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulysses Spencer came out and tried to block the shot, but Rodrigo Rojas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 7th minute. After 9 minutes, Stefan Chappelle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glenside AFC and the Yawgoog F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Stefan Chappelle hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Tobias Connors shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theodore Ferris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Theodore Ferris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Connors, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Rodrigo Rojas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glenside AFC's Theodore Ferris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nigel Pereira in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Glenside AFC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Franklin Poe hit a great ball. Nigel Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Ferris having to interfere. Rene McCracken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulysses Spencer having to interfere. Sonny Townsend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ulysses Spencer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Townsend in the 28th minute of play forced Yawgoog F.C's goalkeeper Ulysses Spencer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulysses Spencer was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Sonny Townsend capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sonny Townsend really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Sonny Townsend managed to get in a good position for a shot. Glenside AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sonny Townsend was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ulysses Spencer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobias Connors to make the kick off. If Sonny Townsend had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theodore Ferris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tobias Connors in the 59th minute of the match. After 64 played minutes Glenside AFC got a freekick which was hit by Darnell Galindo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sonny Townsend in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulysses Spencer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tobias Connors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Ferris having to interfere. Theodore Ferris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Connors in the 73rd minute of play. After 75 minutes Glenside AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Grady Swenson who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Grady Swenson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Theodore Ferris quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Rene McCracken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Yawgoog F.C getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Grady Swenson hit a great ball. Johnny Seals sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses Spencer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sonny Townsend, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Tobias Connors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Ferris having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Nigel Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 95 minutes, Sonny Townsend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenside AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sonny Townsend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Glenside AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
