An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Brunson in the 5th minute of play forced Glenside AFC's goalkeeper Theodore Ferris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Quincy Fujieda fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's protests and gave Quincy Fujieda a yellow card for diving instead. Quincy Fujieda hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th match minute, SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brent Epperson to maneuver through the defense. Randolph Aguilera charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Randolph Aguilera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 11 minutes into the match, Glenside AFC's Darnell Galindo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Sonny Townsend managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glenside AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sonny Townsend was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sonny Townsend fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without A.J. Burt having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Quincy Fujieda managed to get in a good position for a shot. SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's supporters rose to their feet, but Quincy Fujieda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Theodore Ferris breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the match, Glenside AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Quincy Fujieda came free, but Theodore Ferris reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Quincy Fujieda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 26 played minutes SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL got a freekick which was hit by Quincy Fujieda. After 27 played minutes, Glenside AFC's Darnell Galindo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper A.J. Burt came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glenside AFC reached it. Nicholas Brunson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Ferris having to interfere. If Rene McCracken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theodore Ferris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent Epperson in the 35th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Glenside AFC's Sonny Townsend got a free kick in the 37th minute. If Rene McCracken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicholas Brunson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theodore Ferris having to interfere. Nicholas Brunson struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Theodore Ferris didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL. Rodrigo Clayton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 57thth minute of the game Sonny Townsend who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's A.J. Burt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 58 minutes into the match, SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's goal looked a bit too open when Rene McCracken came free, but A.J. Burt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Nicholas Brunson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Franklin Poe hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Nicholas Brunson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brent Epperson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's zone, Rene McCracken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. A.J. Burt came out of the goal and Rene McCracken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 75 minutes into the match, Sonny Townsend had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of A.J. Burt. SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sonny Townsend was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Sonny Townsend received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. A.J. Burt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A.J. Burt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rene McCracken in the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Glenside AFC's Rene McCracken nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. A.J. Burt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 95 minutes, Brock Nickerson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glenside AFC and the SPORTIVO MUNICIPAL players grew even worse after the yellow card.
