Spectators: 7660 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 100) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Geoff Neal made the kick off which started today's match. Charlton Maynard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Tyrone Kenny tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phillip Cage charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phillip Cage the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 14 played minutes Mohnton got a freekick which was hit by Phillip Cage. In the 17th minute, Charlton Maynard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fernando Malone struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Dillon Esquivel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mohnton. Tyrone Kenny showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoff Neal, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Tyrone Kenny came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Star FC's Charlton Maynard. But to his dismay, Charlton Maynard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After having played for 28 minutes, Charlton Maynard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Star FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Charlton Maynard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 34 played minutes Mohnton got a freekick which was hit by Deon McClelland. 36 minutes in the game Rene Denson got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Geoff Neal kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tyrone Kenny. That made the score 2-0 in the 39 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Charlton Maynard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Star FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Charlton Maynard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tyrone Kenny breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tyrone Kenny didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charlton Maynard went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phillip Cage to make the kick off. Fernando Malone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The coaching staff of Mohnton protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nathaniel Correa had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 70 minutes into the game, one of Mohnton:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Rene Denson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 77th minute Geoff Neal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tyrone Kenny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charlton Maynard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
