Oliver Stern hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The supporters of Atlanta Vikings booed when Star FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dudley Summers didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Jared Reilly in the 7th minute really tested Dillon Esquivel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Malcolm Armstrong charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malcolm Armstrong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Star FC got a freekick which was hit by Malcolm Armstrong. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charlton Maynard in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shane Owen saved Atlanta Vikings from getting behind. Shane Owen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlton Maynard in the 15th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Alexis Reynolds hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Atlanta Vikings defense, Geoff Neal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Shane Owen. The Atlanta Vikings fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Shane Owen should have stopped the shot. 19 minutes into the game, Cary Good was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Star FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlanta Vikings the free kick. Dillon Esquivel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Arthur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Geoff Neal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Shane Owen was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Geoff Neal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shane Owen having to interfere. When Star FC's Charlton Maynard in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Atlanta Vikings's goalie prevented a goal. Atlanta Vikings's Shane Owen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoff Neal in the 34th minute of play. Jeremiah Lambert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dillon Esquivel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gregorio Arthur came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Atlanta Vikings fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregorio Arthur couldn't finish the play. Jeremiah Lambert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Dillon Esquivel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

After 56 played minutes Atlanta Vikings got a freekick which was hit by Len Ferreira. When Atlanta Vikings's Gregorio Arthur in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Star FC's goalie prevented a goal. Charlton Maynard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Shane Owen made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Vance Woodall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 73rdth minute of the game Gregorio Arthur who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Star FC's Dillon Esquivel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gregorio Arthur in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dillon Esquivel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Star FC defense, Gregorio Arthur kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dillon Esquivel. The Star FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dillon Esquivel should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the game, Geoff Neal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Shane Owen. Geoff Neal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Star FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
