Stan Goldberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sung Uhl in the 11th minute of the match. Randall Sprague fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarod Lind having to interfere. Randolph Curtis kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Gate City FC's Ron Langley tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Renato Rosas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golden Knights's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Rosas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarod Lind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ace Holliday kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Joey Casey sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gate City FC's Jarod Lind didn't even have to move. If Cedric Parish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renato Rosas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 43 minutes, Cedric Parish managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golden Knights's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cedric Parish was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gate City FC were furious when Dean Stockton was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gate City FC! In the 47th minute there was a penalty for Golden Knights. Joey Casey stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jarod Lind. 0-2. After the first half Golden Knights were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brady Gorman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gate City FC's Jarod Lind proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Gate City FC from getting a goal against them. Gate City FC's Jarod Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cedric Parish in the 64th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ron Langley during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, one of Gate City FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gate City FC. When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, Golden Knights's Joey Casey got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jarod Lind. Stan Goldberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brady Gorman went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 79th minute, Brady Gorman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stan Goldberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Cedric Parish sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the game, one of Golden Knights:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
