The referee showed Seth Key the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Seth Key hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wyatt Larsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Trotter having to interfere. In the 22nd minute of the match Houston Leon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Titus Nicholas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Soplanucas en Brooklyn booed when Groveland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Houston Leon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kyle Castillo De Reyes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anton Trotter having to make a save. Anton Trotter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvis Call, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Groveland's zone, Elvis Call stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Trotter came out of the goal and Elvis Call tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Elvis Call had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Groveland defense, Elvis Call kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Trotter. The Groveland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Trotter should have stopped the shot. Titus Nicholas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusebio Wolf, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The audience was convinced that Elvis Call's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anton Trotter was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Aurelio Crum hit a great ball. 91 minutes into the game, Domenic Kemp cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Titus Nicholas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Val Parker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Trotter having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Soplanucas en Brooklyn had played much better football throughout.
