Josh Elkins didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elvis Call went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Marquis Stahl came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Soplanucas en Brooklyn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marquis Stahl couldn't finish the play. Marquis Stahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Elkins having to interfere. If Elvis Call had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergio Farrell did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Titus Nicholas 33 minutes into the match. When Soplanucas en Brooklyn's Elvis Call in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye West Valley City FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 39th minute Woody Rushing clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. The supporters of West Valley City FC booed when Soplanucas en Brooklyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marquis Stahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marquis Stahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elvis Call fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Elkins having to interfere. Marquis Stahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Soplanucas en Brooklyn fans' excitement grew in the 48th match minute when Soplanucas en Brooklyn's Elvis Call looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elvis Call to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 59th minute of the match Albert Crews shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Titus Nicholas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Titus Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Farrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eusebio Kaplan's late challenge caught a West Valley City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eusebio Kaplan helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of West Valley City FC booed when Soplanucas en Brooklyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebio Kaplan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the match, Soplanucas en Brooklyn's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Farrell came free, but Titus Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elvis Call fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josh Elkins having to interfere. Wyatt Larsen charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wyatt Larsen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Soplanucas en Brooklyn got a freekick which was hit by Wyatt Larsen. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Albert Crews managed to get in a good position for a shot. West Valley City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Crews was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Titus Nicholas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Titus Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergio Farrell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Soplanucas en Brooklyn's Elvis Call sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josh Elkins narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Marquis Stahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. West Valley City FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Elvis Call scored to the left of an out of position Josh Elkins, making the score, 1-3. Josh Elkins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvis Call in the 94th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elvis Call in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josh Elkins saved West Valley City FC from getting behind. Soplanucas en Brooklyn's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
