In the 10th minute Ronald Wade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lamar Crow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wendell Kimbrough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lamar Crow made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Domenic Kemp sent off a good shot on target. Ross Pryor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wendell Kimbrough might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Trotter. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wendell Kimbrough ran back to his position shaking his head. Lamar Crow was out of position in the 24 minute of play, and Ronald Wade capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ronald Wade really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Lamar Crow was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ronald Wade showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 27 minute of play. A collision led to Groveland getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Eusebio Wolf hit a great ball. Rush NM's Al Crowley couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 35th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Groveland. Darrel Salas charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some careless play in the Groveland defense, Wendell Kimbrough kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Trotter. The Groveland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Trotter should have stopped the shot. After having played for 46 minutes, Domenic Kemp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Groveland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenic Kemp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wendell Kimbrough made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Wendell Kimbrough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ross Pryor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Anton Trotter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wendell Kimbrough in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Trotter saved Groveland from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Rush NM's Asher Albright slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anton Trotter. That made the score 3-2 after 60 minutes of play. In the 65th match minute, Rush NM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lonnie Colby to maneuver through the defense. If Wendell Kimbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ronald Wade fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Groveland's protests and gave Ronald Wade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Ronald Wade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Groveland's goalkeeper Anton Trotter, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Groveland booed when Rush NM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Vasquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronald Wade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Lamar Crow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wendell Kimbrough was extremely unlucky when he, in the 81st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Groveland's Anton Trotter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wendell Kimbrough in the 84th minute of play. If Wendell Kimbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ross Pryor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Anton Trotter made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Groveland's Renato Finn got a free kick in the 91st minute. If Ross Pryor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
