Spectators: 6769 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Denis Leon took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 6th minute, Javier Mercer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gilberto Busch fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lake Mohawk's protests and gave Gilberto Busch a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Lake Mohawk got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Busch. The long shot by Rudolph McClain in the 9th minute really tested Jerome Schafer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Danny Barton's late challenge caught a Hartwell FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danny Barton helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 14 minutes, Preston Lockett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lake Mohawk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Preston Lockett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toby Worthington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Preston Lockett in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Lake Mohawk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zackary Ybarra to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Lake Mohawk got a freekick which was hit by Cobi Barajas. In the 26th minute Javier Mercer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerome Schafer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 27 minutes, Javier Mercer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hartwell FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Javier Mercer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denis Leon was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Hartwell FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The referee ignored Lake Mohawk's protests and gave Cobi Barajas a yellow card for diving instead. Cobi Barajas hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Denis Leon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jerome Schafer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute Preston Lockett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toby Worthington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Andre McKee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andre McKee to make the kick off. Conrad McClure might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerome Schafer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Conrad McClure ran back to his position shaking his head. Lake Mohawk's Preston Lockett got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Hartwell FC's Alonzo Candido got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 58 played minutes Hartwell FC got a freekick which was hit by Conrad McClure. In the 58th minute, Dane Varner sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Hartwell FC's Toby Worthington didn't even have to move. In the 60th minute, Conrad McClure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Preston Lockett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Toby Worthington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Javier Mercer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hartwell FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The supporters of Lake Mohawk booed when Hartwell FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrad McClure didn't get a good kick on the ball. Preston Lockett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toby Worthington having to interfere. Andre McKee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 84 minutes, Andre McKee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lake Mohawk's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andre McKee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Hartwell FC's Denis Leon in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lake Mohawk's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Lake Mohawk getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cobi Barajas hit a great ball. Javier Mercer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vernon Coppack took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 92nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jerome Schafer. Lake Mohawk's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lake Mohawk's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
