Gerardo Shields showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthew Powell, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Triton Central FC's goalkeeper Rashad Carmona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wiley Burns. In the 20th minute, Wayne Feliciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wiley Burns recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Triton Central FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jim Foreman hit a great ball. Renato McLain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Triton Central FC's Rashad Carmona proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Triton Central FC from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute Dalton Shook shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerardo Shields saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Powell in the 38th minute of play forced Steger AFC's goalkeeper Gerardo Shields to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Matthew Powell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalton Shook sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalton Shook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerardo Shields having to interfere. In the 66th minute of the match, Matthew Powell got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gerardo Shields was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When Triton Central FC's Dalton Shook in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had been going on for 77 minutes, Triton Central FC's Robin Lehman got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gerardo Shields. The Triton Central FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
