Casey Murray took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dean Rhodes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Russo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerald Aldrich read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Enoch Kendall was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. Rory Adams blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casey Murray having to make a save. Gerald Aldrich came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by New Providence FC's Allan Russo. But to his dismay, Allan Russo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Woodlands FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. New Providence FC were winning 0-1.

If Dean Rhodes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, New Providence FC's Allan Russo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerald Aldrich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th match minute, Woodlands FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Lyons to maneuver through the defense. Woodlands FC's Gerald Aldrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Woodlands FC from getting a goal against them. Pedro Blanchard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casey Murray read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Salvador Lyons hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes New Providence FC got a freekick which was hit by Lazaro Tharp. In the 73rd minute of the match Giuseppe Moses shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Casey Murray showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gerald Aldrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerome Camacho in the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute Alonso Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerald Aldrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casey Murray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rory Adams in the 84th minute of play. Gerald Aldrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Chin in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Woodlands FC booed when New Providence FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Troy Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, New Providence FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rory Adams came free, but Casey Murray reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Alonso Moreno made a precise shot to the right of Gerald Aldrich. Woodlands FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. New Providence FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
