After 5 minutes, Pierre Veltman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FlyingSnake and the Walnut Hill FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FlyingSnake's Pierre Veltman got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porter Poirier in the 7th minute of play forced FlyingSnake's goalkeeper Garret Phelps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ray Spencer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kip McCarthy in the 9th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Kip McCarthy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ray Spencer was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. FlyingSnake's Garret Phelps proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save FlyingSnake from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Walnut Hill FC's zone, Bill Buchanan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ray Spencer came out of the goal and Bill Buchanan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierre Veltman kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Porter Poirier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Garret Phelps was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. In the 34th minute Porter Poirier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Garret Phelps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Pete Hammer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Willy Gentry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kip McCarthy was the one to do the kick off. If Kip McCarthy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bill Buchanan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ray Spencer made a huge save. After 61 minutes of play FlyingSnake's Pierre Veltman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 61st minute, Pierre Veltman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garret Phelps took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porter Poirier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FlyingSnake's Garret Phelps played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pete Hammer in the 66th minute of play. The supporters of Walnut Hill FC booed when FlyingSnake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kip McCarthy didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by FlyingSnake's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gerard Jackson was slow to take the kick. During this time Walnut Hill FC's players had a chance to rest. Bill Buchanan might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ray Spencer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bill Buchanan ran back to his position shaking his head. Garret Phelps showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porter Poirier, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes FlyingSnake got a freekick which was hit by Flint Sands. Pete Hammer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Garret Phelps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerard Jackson made a great header on Walnut Hill FC's corner, it was just that FlyingSnake's Garret Phelps managed to reach the ball for a save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Walnut Hill FC had won after a very even match.
