The supporters of Hawaii Suns booed when Woodlands FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Baird didn't get a good kick on the ball. Woodlands FC's Gerald Aldrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Woodlands FC from getting a goal against them. Gerald Aldrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mike Mobley in the 12th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Woodlands FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Mobley came free, but Gerald Aldrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denny Salas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dean Rhodes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Hawaii Suns's goal looked a bit too open when Jeff Baird came free, but Denny Salas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denny Salas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rory Adams's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Jeff Baird made a precise shot to the right of Denny Salas. Hawaii Suns's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Denny Salas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dean Rhodes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th match minute, Hawaii Suns was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Don Yates to maneuver through the defense. When Jeff Baird came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Woodlands FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeff Baird couldn't finish the play. After 40 played minutes Woodlands FC got a freekick which was hit by Enoch Kendall. Gerald Aldrich didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 43rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Hawaii Suns's Denny Salas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rory Adams in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Nathanial Stallings made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Hawaii Suns's goalkeeper Denny Salas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rory Adams. Dustin McIntyre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gerald Aldrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rory Adamss short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Denny Salas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Denny Salas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeff Baird in the 82nd minute. When Woodlands FC's Rory Adams in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hawaii Suns's goalie prevented a goal. Denny Salas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeff Baird went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rory Adams in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denny Salas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dustin McIntyre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeff Baird fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denny Salas having to interfere.
